as you are counselling co.

a dedicated space for you to connect with yourself

Hey, I’m Kara

My goal is to support you in your growth to be the person you know deep down you are. My counselling aim is to support you in discovering all your parts, and working towards what for you is defined as a meaningful and fulfilling life. I hold the belief that we all have the capacity to thrive, and at times we need another human to support us on our way.

Whether you are looking for a place to heal, or a place to discover new parts of yourself I welcome you. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and uphold registration with the BC Associate of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). If you hold third party insurance, most insurance providers cover sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).

My role as a counsellor is to build genuine, lasting connections, to help you feel strong within. My approach is authentic, with the goal of meeting you where you’re at. With a deep understanding is that for you to be real, I need to be real. My relational approach aims to hit that sweet spot—the familiar and comfortable feeling you get when speaking to a close friend while maintaining the professional boundaries of working with a mental health professional.

I’m here as a partner in your mental health, here to sit with you, as you navigate life's challenges. I know that each person's path is unique, and want to offer a supportive space where you can freely express yourself and arrive as you are.

Counselling Principles

Everything that I do understands the very human intersection of how the mind and the body are interconnected, while integrating the importance of relationships.

The Mind.

The Body.

The Relational.
